Ingredients

    * Turnips, 3 medium
    * Onions, raw, 1.5 medium (2-1/2" dia)
    * Garlic, 2 cloves
    * Carrots, raw, 1 medium
    * Lentils, 1 cup
    1 bay leaf
    1 hot pepper
    3 cloves
    1 tsp Garam Masala
    1 tbls Curry Powder
    5 white peppercorns
    Stock

Directions

Chop Onions and Garlic saute in oil add carrots then turnips. Add spices then stock. Add washed lentils and cook for 1 hour. Garnish with parsely

    i just bought some yummy-looking organic scarlet, golden and white turnips. i love them plain (lightly steamed, w/butter and soy sauce) but thought i'd check this great recipe bank to see what kinds of recipes were out there. can't wait to try this soup! - 3/16/08
