    2 C Green Beans Snapped and Halved
    1 Small Onion
    6 oz Cured Ham or 1 Ham Hock
    1 C water


Snap ends off beans and cut in half placing in small pan. Add 1 C water, onion quartered, and chunks of ham or hock of ham. Season to taste with garlic, salt, and pepper. Boil on stove for about 30 minutes or until the beans are tender.
