    brown sugar
    cooking oil
    baking powder
    baking soda
    ground cloves
    powdered sugar
    egg whites


1. Cream together brown sugar and oil. Add pumpkin and eggs and mix well.
2. Combine all remaining ingredients before shortening and mix into creamed mixture. Drop by large tabelspoonsful onto greased baking sheet.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
4. To prepare filling combine all ingredients (beginning with shortening)and mix well.
5. Make whoopie pies by spreading filling on flat side of one cookie and making a sandwich with another cookie. Store in airtight container.
Makes 24 whoopie pies about 3" in daiameter.
