    *Lean Stewing Beef, 40 oz (remove)
    *Potato - New Red Skin 1-3/4" to 2-1/2" dia (1 potato, small), 6 serving (remove)
    *Flour, Whole Wheat Pastry, .75 cup (remove)
    *Rutabaga, 2 cup (remove)
    Carrots, raw, 2 cup, chopped (remove)
    Peas, frozen, 1.5 cup (remove)
    Onions, raw, 2 cup, chopped (remove)
    Red Wine, 8 fl oz (remove)
    Olive Oil, 3 tbsp (remove)
    Salt, 1 tsp (remove)
    Thyme, ground, 1 tsp (remove)
    Pepper, black, .25 tsp (remove)
    *Kitchen Bouquet, 2 tsp (remove)


Mix flour, salt thyme and pepper in plastic bag. Toss in 2 1/2 lbs cubes of lean stewing meat and shake to coat. I do this in batches. Heat oil in skillet, and brown meat in batches not too crowded. Set aside cooked meat and continue until all is browned. Put meat and chopped onions and about 1 cup of water in pot to cook slowly for about an hour. Then add potatoes and carrots and rutabaga. Cook another 45 minutes. Add the wine and peas. Cook til veggies are all done. I remove the lid or crack it to allow some of the steam to escape if it is too thin.
