    1 lb ground beef
    1/2 to 3/4 cup crushed saltine crackers
    1 egg beaten
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    1/2 tsp salt
    pepper to taste
    1/2 c water
    10 1/2 ounce brown gravy


combine ground beef, cracker crumbs, egg, onion, salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl. form 6 patties; set aside. combine water and gravy; pour into a large skilet over medium heat. Add patties. cover and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes, turning half way through.
