    In an oiled 9 X 12-inch baking dish layer the following:

    FIRST LAYER: (Steam until crisp-tender)
    7-8 Cups: cut in 1/4-inch rounds (about 3 pounds)

    SECOND LAYER - A mixture of:
    1 pint: 2% Cottage Cheese
    1 pint: Light Sour Cream
    1 cup: Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
    1/4 tsp: Onion Powder
    3/4 tsp: Garlic Powder
    4 Tbsp: Parsley, minced fresh
    1 1/2 tsp: Dill Weed, dried
    3/4 tsp: Salt
    1/2 tsp: Black Pepper
    1: Egg, beaten

    THIRD LAYER - saute in medium skillet until transparent:
    3 Tbsp: Olive Oil
    2 Large: Onions, chopped

    1 pound: Mushrooms, sliced
    2 Tbsp: Soy Sauce

    FOURTH LAYER - a mixture of:
    1 cup: Bread Crumbs, whole wheat
    4 Tbsp: Butter, melted
    1 1/4 tsp: Basil, dried
    1 /4 tsp: Marjoram, dried
    1/4 tsp: Garlic Powder
    3 Tbsp: Parsley, minced fresh
    8 Tbsp: Parmesan Cheese, grated


Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

For a thicker bread crumb topping, increase the amount of bread crumbs and adjust the seasonings and butter. Nutritional info is based on the recipe as is.
