Ingredients

    1 Lg onion, chopped
    4 Carrots, chopped
    1/2 head cabbage, chopped
    4 stalks celery, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1 46 oz cab V8 juice
    6 tsp beef soup base
    pepper to taste
    3 c water

Directions

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Simmer for 1 hr or until vegetables are tender. Remove bay leaf before serving.
