    3 lbs lean ground beef
    1 cup chopped onion
    2 tsp. chopped garlic
    1 tsp. salt & pepper or add more to taste
    1 1/2 pckgs chili seasoning
    1 tsp. chili powder or to taste
    1 large can tomato juice
    3 cans (14 oz.) kidney beans or
    mix up beans of your choice
    1/8 tsp. of dark cocoa
    1 tsp. of your favourite steak sauce or worchestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp. cumin
    1 OXO beef cube crushed or 1 pckg. OXO
    1 can mushrooms drained
    1 tsp. bacon bits
    1can tomatoes can be added using less tomato juice


NOTE: I calculate my hamburg ratio with amount of beans. If available I may increase recipe by adding 1 lb hamburg and 1 to 2 cans of beans but do not change the other ingredients.
Fry hamburg, onion, garlic with 1 pckg. of chili seasoning, if using fresh mushrooms add them now. Put all ingredients in dutch oven (large pot) and simmer for 1hr. or longer consistency of your choice.
