Ingredients

1 lb lean hamburger browned and rinsed under hot water
1 29 oz can of tomato sauce or puree, no salt added
1 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes, I use basil, garlic & oregano style pureed
    1 oz tomato paste
    1 tsp pepper
    1 tbsp garlic powder
    1 tbsp dried thyme
    1 tbsp dried sweet basil
    1/2 cup red wine (optional)

Directions

Brown ground beef in a seperate pan, strain then rinse under hot water to remove more of the fat. Put meat into dutch oven (or large stew pan) and add in the remaing ingredients, bring to a boil, cover and reduce to a simmer for about an hour. Stir frequently. I eat mine over spaghetti squash or GF rice noodles.

You can start the red sauce while the meat is browning.
