    1 tbsp margarine
    1 med onion chopped (about 1 cup)
    3 cloves garlic minced
    1 tbsp italian seasoning
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp black pepper
    6 tbsp canned tomato paste
    4 oz vodka
    dash salt (for cooking pasta)
    1 1/2 lb cooked whole wheat pasta
    1/2 cup fat free milk
    1/2 cup heavy cream


1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat
2. Add margarine, onion, and garlic; sautee until onions start to carmelize, about 3-5 minutes
3. Add italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir
4. Add tomato paste and mix to form a paste. Cook for about 5 minutes moving around pan occasionally, add vodka. Scrape pan with wooden spoon and cook for about 5 minutes more.
5. Meanwhile, cook past according to package directions and drain
6. Add milk/cream to tomato mixture, reduce heat to low and simmer 3-5 minutes
7. Add pasta to sauce and mix to coat.
