A simple and tasty use for fresh-picked blackberries. A simple and tasty use for fresh-picked blackberries.
Number of Servings: 6


    4 c fresh blackberries, washed and drained well
    1/3 c Splenda
    2 tsp lemon juice

    1/3 c flour
    1/3 c brown sugar
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 stick margarine (4 tbs)
    3/4 c quick oats


Preheat oven to 375 d. Wash and drain blackberries. Spray 8"x8" or 9"x9" with lite cooking spray.

In a medium bowl add blackberries, Splenda, and lemon juice. Mix gently w/spatula.

In separate bowl mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, softened margarine, and quick oats with fork until margarine has been broken down into small pieces.

Pour blackberries into baking dish and gently pat flat. Then pour dry ingredients over top, spreading evenly so all berries are covered.

Bake for 45 minutes, then let cool for at least 30 minutes before serving. It will still be hot! Enjoy.
