Ingredients

    1 cup Flour, white
    1/2 cup Sugar
    2 tsp Baking Powder
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1 Egg
    2 tbsp Butter - melted
    1 quart Strawberries, fresh, sliced thick

    topping:
    1/2 cup flour
    1/2 cup sugar
    4 tbsp butter cold
    1/4 cup chopped pecans
    1/4 cup cold butter
    1/4 cup chopped peacans

Directions

In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking power and salt.
In a small bowl combine egg, milk, and melted butter. Stir into dry ingredients. Pour into a greased 8 x 8 pan. Top with a layer of sliced strawberries

For topping:
Combine flour and sugar and cut in butter with a pastry cutter. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle over strawberries.

Bake at 375 for 30 - 35 minutes. Until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. cut into squares and serve warm.
