    1 egg
    cinnamon, as desired
    1tsp sugar
    4 slices whole grain white bread
    3 tbsp milk, 2%
    2 tsp light butter

    Serve with:
    4 tsp light butter
    4 tsp sugar, or 4 tsp maple syrup


Beat together eggs, milk, 1 tsp sugar, and cinnamon. Dip bread in egg mixture, coating both sides.

Cook 2 slices at a time in skillet over medium-high heat with 1 tsp melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cook bread on both sides until golden brown. Add another 1 tsp butter to the skillet to cook the remaining 2 slices.

Each serving is 2 slices French toast with 1 tsp light butter and either 2 tsp maple syrup or 2 tsp sugar on each slice.

Makes 2 servings.
