    1 T brown sugar
    2 T honey
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    2 tsp. chopped fresh ginger root
    2 tsp. chopped garlic
    1-2 T hot sauce
    salt & pepper to taste
    4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves cut into 1/2" strips
    1 T vegetable oil


1. Mix together brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and hot sauce in a small bowl.

2. Lightly salt & pepper the chicken strips.

3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken strips and brown on both sides about 1 minute per side. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Simmer uncovered until sauce thickens, about 8-10 minutes.

Approx. 4 servings.

    My fiance and I really liked this recipe! I used PAM instead of oil and used a little corn starch to thicken the sauce a little more.
    I think all we would do different is add more hot sauce because we like it extra spicy. - 1/25/09

  • Excellent! This will become part of our regular rotation. I didn't use salt or pepper and omitted the ginger because we don't care for it. I also used olive oil because that's all I had on hand. Thank you for such a wonderful recipe! (when 2x recipe, don't double soy sauce. It becomes too salty) - 9/21/14

  • This was really good! I didn't add the hot sauce and only put a sprinkle of powdered ginger to suit my family and also tossed in some frozen brocolli and a can of sliced mushrooms, since that was all I had on hand and it came out great! Next time I will have to try the cornstarch to thicken. - 6/9/10

  • It was excellent, I used ground ginger and ground garlic and chicken wings. I would have this receipt again next time your way or with boneless skinless chicken thighs. - 8/20/09

  • This was fabulous! I've made it twice now and my family loves it! The first time I made it with pork tenderloin chunks - to die for! The second time I used chicken - Just as yummy. I added water chestnuts, red and yellow bell peppers and sugar snap peas to it. powdered Ginger works fine too. - 6/19/08

  • This was well liked by everyone in the family! I added some sweet peppers and fresh spinach with the sauce b/c I had them. Served it with rice noodles and broccoli. Very good and will make again. - 12/11/07
