    2 T. veg oil
    t. salt
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cans cooked black beans, drained
    1 green bell pepper, diced
    1 c. frozen corn
    2 cl. Garlic, minced
    1 c. veg broth
    1 T. cumin
    1 c. canned crushed tomatoes
    1 T. chili powder
    1 T. tomato paste
    1 t. unsweetened cocoa
    1 t. dried oregano
    1 t. sugar
    1 t. dried coriander

    2/3 c. flour
    c. cornmeal
    1 T. sugar
    2 t. baking powder
    t. salt
    c. water
    2 T. veg oil


In 4 qt. Casserole, heat 1 T. oil over med heat. Add onion and pepper and cook until softened, about 8 min. Add garlic and cook, stirring 1 min. In small bowl, mix cumin, chili powder, coriander, cocoa and salt to taste. Add remaining T. oil and spice mixture to pot, stir 1 min over med heat. Add remaining ingred., bring mixture to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 7-8 min. Check for salt. Remove pan from heat. Preheat oven to 400. In med bowl, mix dry ingred. Make well and add wet ingred. Stir to blend. Let batter stand 2 min. Pour batter evenly over chili. (Batter is thin) Bake 25-30 min. Let stand at least 10 min.
