    1 1/2 cups white rice
    1 pound ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 can (15 oz) black beans
    1 cup beef broth
    1 cup tomato sauce
    1 tablespoon chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon cumin
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Cook rice according to directions.
In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink, drain. Stir in rice, beans, broth, tomato sauce, and seasonings, heat throughly. Spinkle with with and cook covered until cheese is melted (one or two minutes).
