A delicious alternative to oatmeal in the morning! A delicious alternative to oatmeal in the morning!
Number of Servings: 1


    3/4 cup water
    1/4 cup buckwheat, uncooked
    1 small apple, chopped
    1 t cinnamon
    1/2 t nutmeg


1. Bring water to a boil, add buckwheat. Boil for 5-10 minutes.

2. Add cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir well, cover and reduce to a simmer. Simmer another 10 minutes.

3. Add chopped apples and stir well. Continue to simmer until buckwheat expands, another 10-15 minutes. Serve warm, and if necessary add a touch of agave for sweetness.

Serving Size: Makes 1 serving of about 3/4-1 cup
