    2 sprays cooking spray (enough to coat bottom of pan)
    1 med onion chopped
    1 med garlic clove minced
    8 oz lowfat sausage, smoked sliced 1/4" (I just use the whole 13 oz)
    3/4 cup canned chicken broth
    30 oz canned great northern beans
    1/2 cup dried bread crumbs


Coat skillet with cooking spray and heat. Add onion, garlic and smoked sausage (can use Keilbasa) and saute until onion is tender 3- min.
Add thyme, broth, beans and tomatoe paste, bring to boil, simmer 10 minutes
Sprinkle bread crumbs over beans. Place skillet under broiler until bread crumbs are brown about 30 seconds.

Serving Size: makes 8 13/4-cup servings
