    Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal- Plain, 2 cups
    Banana, fresh, 1 medium ripened
    Apple sauce (1/3 cup)
    Raisins, .25 cup, packed
    Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
    Cinnamon - to taste
    Nutmeg - dash


Mash bananas, add applesauce & vanilla & mix well. Add oatmeal & raisins - mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. They will burn easily so they need to be watched. I found the cookies weren't GREAT but I think they would be good if they had been flattened out. I am going to try them as granola bars next time!

    I went ahead and tried the bar version and it is still a little lacking. I also added 1/4 t salt and 1 tsp sugar to give it a little more flavor. It is a nice base to build from. Maybe add an extra banana next time. I baked it for 20 m @ 350 and it spread nicely in a 9x9 pan - 10/3/11
