Do you love French Toast but prefer to have a lower calorie, lower sugar breakfast? Here's the answer! French toast with a twist. Change the flavors based on your mood... instead of oregano and thyme, you can use cumin and chili powder, maybe garlic and herbs? Instead of Greek Yogurt side, maybe cottage cheese, maybe steamed zucchini and squash? Make it your own, even for dinner! Ingredients

    Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Bread (1 slice) or any other whole grain of your choice
    Egg, fresh, 1 large (or egg substitute)
    Milk, nonfat, .1 Tbsp.
    Organic Greek Yogurt, Plain, 1/4 cup OR Organich Fat Free cottage cheese, 3 oz. 1/4 cup
    Optional and interchangable:
    Oregano, ground, 1/2 tsp
    Thyme, fresh, 1/2 tsp
    Onions, dehydrated flakes, 1 tsp
    Chives, freshly chopped, 1 Tbsp.
    Salt, 1 dash
    Pepper, black, 1 dash

Directions

Heat a non-stick pan over medium to high heat.
Scramble egg with milk in a shallow bowl or plate.
Mix in herbs and spices to your choosing.
Soak bread slice in egg and spice mixture, turn over to fully coat and saturate the bread.
Cook egg soaked bread on the pan for 1-3 minutes, no butter necessary with non-stick pan.
Flip over when bread and egg are cooked, golden brown. Cook 1-3 minutes on opposite side.
Serve with side of plain yogurt or cottage cheese as a dressing. May also substitute salsa, or cooked veggies for more variety. Enjoy!
