    8 Silverbeat leaves
    2 Tablespoons water
    2 med. (300g) onions
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    3/4 cup (150g) brown lentils
    1 1/2 tsps cumin seeds
    3 cups (750ml) water
    1 1/3 cups cooked mashed kumara (orange fleshed sweet potato) steamed or boiled till soft

    Tomato and cumin sauce
    400g can tomatoes
    1 teaspoon ground cumin

    Boil, steam or micorwave beat leaves until just wilted. Refresh under cold water.

    Combine watr, onions and garlic in pan, cook stirring untils onions are lightly brown. Add lentils seeds and a little extra water, simmer, covered, stirring occasionally for 45 minutes or until lentils are soft and water absorbed.
    Add mashed Kumara, cool.
    Divlde mixture between beet leaves.
    Fold in sides of each leaf, roll up to enclose filling.
    Place parcens into top half of steamer, steam over boiling water about 8 mins or until filling is heated through.
    Serve with Tomato and Cumin sauce.

    Sauce: blend tomatoes and cumin until smooth, strain. Place stained micture in pan, stir over heat until hot enough.
