    - 1 large egg
    - 15 oz. ricotta cheese
    - 1 tsp. garlic powder
    - 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
    - 1 tablespoon basil
    - 3.5 oz of a 7 oz. bag of shredded mozzarella (2% milk) - half of a package
    - cubed mozzarella cheese (half a package)
    - 2 jars spaghetti sauce (24oz. jars)
    - 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
    - 16 oz. of ziti (1 box).


- Preheat oven to 350F
- Prepare pasta according to package directions for "al dente". Drain.
- In a large bowl, beat egg, Add ricotta cheese, garlic powder, basil, and the cubed mozzarella. Mix well
- Add cooked pasta and 2 cups of the spaghetti sauce
- Pour 1 cup of the sauce in a 9 x 13 pan
- Pour in ziti mixture. Top with remaining sauce and shredded mozzarella
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
- Cover with foil, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly
- Let ziti rest 10 minutes before serving.

Serving Size: makes 8 servings
