Number of Servings: 8


    1 pound cubed elk steak
    1 cup celery (or onion)(diced)
    1.5 cups mushrooms(diced)
    2 potatoes(diced)
    1 carrot (shredded)
    2.5 cups water
    beef boulion cube
    2 ready made pie crusts

    seasonings to taste: garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika


dice celery (or onion), place in pan with cubed elk steak and a bit of olive oil
cook until brown. Add water and beef boulion cube. Simmer for about 1 hour or until meat is tender.
Meanwhile place bottom pie crust in pie plate and cook at 425 for about 5-7 minutes - set aside
Add potatoes, mushrooms & carrots - simmer about 10 minutes. Drain -( You may reserve broth for soups)
Mix in 1 cup sour cream. spoon mixture into bottom pie crust. Place 2nd pie crust on top of mixture. Bake at 400 for 30 - 40 minutes.
