Introduction

From the island of Guam, this sauce can be as spicy or as mild as you'd like.

This is not an exact recipe because most of the ingredients are fresh.. Depending on how hot the jalapeno is, you may only want to use one pepper, substitute another kind of pepper, add more lemon, decrease the soy sauce etc... Just play with it and have fun.

Ingredients

    2-3 lemons (calorie count is for 1/2 cup lemon juice)
    1/2 c. soy sauce, low sodium
    1-2 jalepenos
    3 green onions, chopped

Directions

Take a scewer (or a fork) and insert it into the top of the jalepeno, by the stem. Roast over open flame on stove top until it starts to get soft and skin starts to have brown spots on it. About 2-3 minutes. Set aside to cool. Squeeze lemons into bowl. Pour soy sauce and green onion into bowl. Dice jalepeno and place into bowl. Serve over rice, poultry, steak, eggs, vegetables, you name it!
