    1 pound lean ground beef
    1/8 cup all-purpose flour
    2 cups milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 teaspoon onion salt
    1 teaspoon beef bouillion
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
12 oz frozen corn (or vegetable of your choice)
    2 cups mashed potatoes (thin)
    1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Place hamburger in a large, deep skillet. Crumble and cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Remove from heat and sprinkle flour over cooked hamburger. Stir until evenly coated and all fat is absorbed.

Place skillet over medium heat, add 1/2 of milk and stir until gravy begins to thicken. Add remaining milk until desired consistency has been reached and gravy comes to a boil. Season with Worcestershire sauce, bouillion, salt, pepper and onion salt.

Layer meat mixture in the bottom of an 8×8 baking dish. Top with veggies. Prepare mashed potatoes according to package directions (if using instant). Spoon potatoes on top of veggies. Sprinkle potatoes with cheese (if using). Bake at 350F for 20-30 minutes or until heated through and top of potatoes are slightly golden brown and cheese is bubbly.

Freezing Directions:
After preparing Shepherd’s Pie, do not bake, instead, seal, label, and freeze. To serve: Thaw in fridge, then bake as indicated above.
