A healthier way to have your biscuits and eat them, too! A healthier way to have your biscuits and eat them, too!
Number of Servings: 12


    1 cup of organic whole wheat pastry flour
    1 cup of organic white flour
    2 tsp of baking powder
    1 tsp of baking soda
    1/2 tsp of salt
    1 packet of Truvia
    1 1/2 tbsp organic shortening
    1 cup (may need more) of low fat buttermilk


Preheat oven to 425*

Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in the shortening until it is completely incorporated. Make a well in the center of the mixture and add the butter milk, stirring with a spatula or wooden spoon just until incorporated.

Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
