    3 c. wheat bran
    1 c. boiling water
    2/3 c agave
    1/2 c. canola oil
    2 1/2 c unbleached white flour
    2 t. baking soda
    1 t salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. buttermilk


Mix 1 c. wheat bran with 1 c. boiling water; stir and let water absorb water into bran. In separate bowl blend agave and oil. Measure and combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Combine the moist bran with with beaten eggs, the remaining 2 c. of bran, buttermilk, blended agave-oil mixture, and flour, soda and salt mixture. Stir until well blended.

Place in the refrigerator for future use (2-4 weeks) or bake at once.
