    1 c. (2 sticks) butter-unsalted-softened
    2 cups of self rising flour**
    1/3 c. sugar (or splenda for baking)
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 tspn vanilla

    1/4 powdered sugar for dusting

    **all purpose + 1 tspn baking powder + 1 tspn baking soda can be used instead.


Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix all ingredients with a pastry cutter, except pecans and powdered sugar. Butter must be soft. Stir in pecans. Roll a tablespoon of dough into a ball, then into a "finger." Bend into crescent shape on the cookie sheet. Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes. Cool then sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Self-rising flour can be used instead of flour, soda, and baking powder
