    1 1/4 cups sugar, 1/3 cup shortening, 2 eggs, 1 cup sour milk, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 1/2 cups corn meal, 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons baking powder.


Put the ingredients into a bowl in that order and mix it up with a spoon. Then you put it in a 13 by 9 pan, slightly greased, then you bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. In order to make the sour milk you take 1 cup of milk and add 1 teaspoon of vinegar.

Serving Size: Makes 18 2 inch pieces
