    1 lb extra lean ground beef
    1/3 lb ground pork sausage
    3/4 cup rice
    1 large egg
    1/2 cup shredded carrots
    4 or 5 green onions, chopped fine
    3 cloves of garlic
    10 to 12 leaves of cabbage
    1 pkg of sauerkraut (I like Hebrew National)


Seperate 10 cabbage leaves and place in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Then, set aside to cool.

Pour sauerkraut into a pan and spread out.

Mix meat together with rice, shredded carrots, green onions, garlic, & egg. Then, spoon mixture into individual cabbage leaves. Roll cabbage leaf around mixture and secure with a toothpick. Lay each cabbage leaf on top of the sauerkraut.

Cover with foil and bake for approximately 45-55 minutes.
