    1 cups (12 oz. bottle) Log Cabin syrup
    1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
    1 unbaked 8-inch pie shell
    3 Tbsp. butter
    cup sugar
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    tsp. salt
    3 large eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla extract


Bring syrup to a boil in a 1 quart saucepan; boil gently, uncovered, for 8 minutes. Cool about 15 minutes. Sprinkle nuts in pie shell. Cream butter; blend in sugar, flour and salt. Add eggs, syrup and vanilla; mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 375* for 40-45 minutes or until pie is browned. Cool. Garnish with Cool Whip, if desired.
