Ingredients

    4 Sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into long, thick slices
    1 cup sugar
    1 stick butter or margarine
    Cinnamon to taste
    1 cup Water

Directions

Put all ingredients in an electric skillet or large cast iron frying pan. Cook slowly until potatoes are soft, but still firm and sugar has formed a thick syrup.
