    2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
    1 teaspoon brown sugar
    1 clove garlic (minced)
    1/2 teaspoon coarse pepper
    1 pound beef flank steak, trimmed of fat
    3 french rolls split and toasted


Mix the mustard, sugar, garlic and pepper and set aside. Place the meat on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Brush with some of the mustard mixture. Broil for 12 to 14 minutes for medium doneness, turning once half way through and brushing with rest of mixture. To serve, thinly slice the meat. Fill each roll with some of the lettuce and sliced tomato. Layer the meat slices on each sandwich.
