Ingredients

    1 c. butter, room temp
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. white sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp vanilla
    2 c. flour, sifted
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 c. oats
    2 c. (1 bag) chocolate chips

Tips

Place dough in the freezer for 15 minutes after mixed but before scooping to help cookies come out more fluffy. Use parchment paper to keep clean-up easy.


Directions

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, then vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together, and add slowly to sugar mixture. When flour is fully incorporated, add oats and chocolate chips, and stir until just combined. Scoop onto baking sheets (nutrition info is calculated based on 2" scoops) and bake at 350 for 15 minutes, rotating pan halfway through to ensure even cooking.
