    2 1/4 cups Almond Meal/flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
    3/4 cup Splenda
    3/4 cup Splenda brown sugar mix or (equal parts splenda and lt brown sugar to make 3/4 cup)
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 large eggs
    1 1/3 cup (8 oz) Hershey's Sugar free chocolate chips


COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

  • Way too much butter - these were "softies" - use 1/2 the amount of butter and look for another recipe. - 1/13/16

  • 3/15 These taste good, nice and buttery. but a little disappointing. Not one to take out of house to get-togethers. Tried a heart shaped cookie mold and failed badly! Could still become family favorite.
    Recipe lacks temperature instructions.
