Introduction

These are the BEST turkey burgers I've ever had. The Quinoa really keeps the moisture in, and the flavors are great with 1000 Island Dressing. These are the BEST turkey burgers I've ever had. The Quinoa really keeps the moisture in, and the flavors are great with 1000 Island Dressing.

Ingredients

    Ground Turkey Jenni-O 93/7, 20 oz
    1 Egg
4 oz. Can Diced Green Chili
1/4 cup dry Quinoa, rinsed and cooked
    1/2 tsp. Salt
    1/2 tsp. Black pepper

Tips

Quinoa is getting easy to find nowdays... my local grocery store (King Soopers) carries it, as well as all the health food stores. Here's a link to information about this excellent food: http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?dbid=142&tname=foodspice

Directions

First, cook some Quinoa (1/4 cup rinsed Quinoa cooked in 1/2 cup salted water should be enough.) Cool briefly before adding to turkey.

Instructions:
~ Mix together ingredients
~ Pat into desired shape (for patties, press down in the middle to put a dimple so they don't swell up)
~ Fry approx. 6 min. on each side, or bake at 375 for 18-20 minutes.

Very healthy and Yummy!

I like to put a generous puddle of Thousand Island on my plate, and place the turkey patty into it so each bite I fork up has some dressing on it. It's also good on a bun with any fixin's you like.

One other thing: I love to make a double batch, and freeze the extra patties between layers of waxed paper. To defrost, I microwave them for 1 minute on each side at 30% power, and they will be ready to cook. This works really well; I can barely tell they've been frozen :)

Serving Size: Makes 6 pattys
