    Beef, round steak, 6 oz
    Pacific Natural Foods Organic Beef Broth, 2 cup
    Beans, black, 2 cup
    Yellow Sweet Corn, Canned, 2 cup
    Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce, 1 tbsp
    Garlic, 4 tbsp
    Onion powder, .25 tsp
    Pepper, black, 2 dash
    Barley, pearled, raw, 0.625 cup
    Good Seasons Italian Recipe Mix, 19 gram(s)
    White Rice, long grain, 2 cup


Spray pot with non-stick cooking spray.
Place beef rounds on bottom of pot (I have two small pieces).
Pour in 1 cup beef broth.
Season with onion powder and black pepper.
Drain and add black beans around beef in broth.
Add minced garlic over beef, spread rather evenly.
Add pearled barley over garlic, spread rather evenly but do not get too close to edges of pot. Keep a buffer zone of black beans around the barley.
Drain and add corn over everything, spread rather evenly.
Sprinkle the Italian Seasoning mix over the corn.
Add second cup of beef broth to pot.
Cover and set on Low.
Cook for many hours.
Prior to serving, boil water and cook rice on stove-top.
About 15-30 minutes prior to serving, break up the beef in the pot, then add the rice. Mix it in and replace the cover.
