Introduction

This is the candy my Momma made every time we would have a family get-together, or holiday. I don't know where she got the original recipe or if she created it herself. Ingredients

    3 Cups sugar
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1 cup water
    3 cups Peanut butter

Tips

My candy thermometer says soft ball is between 116 and 240 F. I usually aim for about 235F and it works pretty well.

Directions

Spray a baking pan with cooking spray, (or line with aluminum foil) I used 2 small casserole pans, aprox 8X12. Bring sugar, salt and water to a boil, cook to soft ball stage. Remove from j\heat and stir peanut butter in until smooth. Work quickly or it will start to set. Pour into prepared pan(s). Allow to cool and set, then cut into about 1 1/2 inch squares.

Serving Size: Makes 56 1 1/2 inch squares
