Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups warm water
    4 1/4 cups flour
    1 package yeast
    2 T melted butter
    2 T sugar
    2 T salt

    Sauce:
    1 T oil
    garlic and salt to taste

Tips

Can be served with some garlic butter after taking out of the oven.


Directions

Combine water, flour, yeast (if instant), butter, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Turn out onto a floured surgace, knead just until smooth. Separate dough into 10-12 pieces and roll into strips, placing on a greased cookie sheet. Cover, let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes to an hour. Bake at 400 for 12-15 minutes, taking the bread out halfway and brushing with the oil/garlic basting sauce.
