Whole Chicken, Crockpot style. Whole Chicken, Crockpot style.
Number of Servings: 6


    1 whole roasting chicken (5lbs or smaller depending on your crockpot)
    1 can chicken broth
    1/2 tsp dill weed
    1/2 tsp basil
    1 tsp minced garlic
    1 tsp parsley
    1/2 tsp paprika
    1/2 large onion (sliced)


Slice onion and place in bottom of crockpot.
Add chicken broth and spices (except paprika), turn crockpot on low.
Skin chicken and rub with paprika, add to pot.
Cook on low 8 hours or until leg pulls away from body easily.

*toss in some red potatos and carrots about 4 hours into cooking to make a meal. Or serve with steamed veggies on the side, over rice....experiment, it's fun!
