Ingredients

    - 1/2 Tbs. butter
    - 1/2 cup chopped leeks
    - 1 garlic clove, minced
    - 1 bunch Asian turnips
    - 4 Tbs. water
    - 1/4 tsp. dried crushed red pepper (optional)
    - 1 Tbs. all-purpose flour
    - 1/2 cup milk
    - 4 Tbs. cream cheese
    - fresh Parmesan cheese to taste

Directions

Trim turnip roots and cut into matchsticks. Wash turnip greens well. Discard stems from leaves, and coarsely chop drained leaves. Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Stir in leek, garlic and turnip bottoms. Toss for until coated, add water, red pepper and cook for 4 - 5 minutes or until liquid evaporates. Stir in turnip greens. Combine flour with milk and pour over all, stir in cream cheese, keep stirring until melted. Season with salt and cheese to taste.
