Introduction

So easy and SO delicious. Not exactly low-calorie, but not the worst thing to quell your chocolate craving! So easy and SO delicious. Not exactly low-calorie, but not the worst thing to quell your chocolate craving!
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 cup flour
    1 cup granulated white sugar, divided into two 1/2 cups
    1/2 cup of cocoa, divided into two 1/4 cups
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt

    1 tsp vanilla extract
    2 tbsp canola oil
    1/2 cup milk
    2 cups boiling water

Tips

Goes great with fresh or canned fruit, either on top or mixed in (pears are great). Very nice with chopped nuts. Really easy to change to your taste.


Directions

1. Combine dry ingredients (set aside 1/4 cup cocoa and 1/2 cup sugar to use at the end) in a large microwave-safe dish.
2. Add vanilla, oil and milk. Mix well and spread evenly through the dish.
3. Combine the reserved sugar and cocoa. Sprinkle over the batter.
4. Pour boiling water over entire dish (DO NOT STIR).
5. Microwave for 9-10 minutes on HIGH (depending on your microwave).

Serving Size: Makes approx 6 servings.
