Ingredients

    *Beans | SW Premium | White Beans, 127 gram(s)
*Organics Organic Vegetable Broth, 4 cup
    *Frozen Mixed Veggies, 4 serving
*Elbow Macaroni, Heartland Perfect Balance, Whole Grain (1/2 cup dry or 1 cup cooked), 5 serving
Mrs. Dash (R) Original Blend, 0.25 tsp
*O Organics Organic Diced Tomatoes in Tomato juice (No Salt Added), 126 gram(s)
    *Sage, ground, 1 tsp
Bay leaves, 1 or 2 (optional)

Tips

Play with the soup to see if you like more or less of the veggie/pasta ratio. Also different kinds of pastas can be used, like curly or whatever you like. The best is 100% whole grain for fiber and nutrition. Many of the whole grain pastas taste quite good now compared to how they were a few years ago, so if you haven't, give it a try.

Other seasonings that might be nice in this are thyme or maybe a little onion powder or even real onion. Experiment with what you think sounds good. Soup is one of the more versatile creations. Enjoy!

Directions

1. Assemble ingredients.
2. Add broth first, maybe water if you like less sodium. The stove should be set to high.
3. Add tomatoes, Mrs. Dash, and sage along with bay leaves (optional).
3. Allow liquid to come to a medium boil.
4. Add desired amount of whole wheat elbow pasta (other whole wheat (small) pasta may be used if desired).
5. Rinse white beans under cold water to remove some of the excess sodium, or if you like, use low sodium variety.
6. Add beans and vegetables to the soup.
7. Stir soup and check to make sure pasta is at desired firmness.
8. Allow soup to cool. Add to bowls or save to eat throughout the week.
