    1 lb boneless beef cubes
    6 tablespoons light olive oil
    2 boxes Shan Easy Cook Haleem Mix (ready in 30 minutes)
    10 cups water
    1 tablespoon chaat masala
    1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
    12 mint leaves (chopped)


Heat 2 tablespoons oil & add beef & Shan Haleem spice mix. Toss and cook the meat on medium high heat for 8 minutes or till the meat turns dark brown.

Now add 10 cups of water, cover & cook on medium heat for 2 hours or till the beef gets cooked.

Now take the meat out, shred it and then add it back in the beef stock along with the Shan Haleem Grains and Pulses powder.

Note: at this point the powder tends to get lumpy. Use an immersion blender to mix the powder properly.

Cover & cook on medium low heat for 2-3 hours. Make sure to mix the "haleem" every now & then since it tends to stick in the bottom of the pot.

When Haleem is almost done, heat the remaining 4 tablespoons oilve oil & fry onions till they turn golden brown. Keep 3/4 of the fried onions aside & add the rest of the onions with the oil & mint in the Haleem. Mix, cover & cook on low heat for another 20 minutes.

Serve warm with fried sliced onions, lemon wedges, chopped mint and sliced green chilies.
