    1.5 lbs round steak
    2 pkg. reduced sodium McCormick's Brown Gravy Mix
    2 cups water
    2 cups sliced mushrooms
    1/2 large onion, chopped
    3 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
    2 tsp. dried minced onions
    1/2 sage
    sprinkle garlic powder
    sprinkle pepper
    Non-stick cooking spray


Heat Broiler on High. Spray broiler pan with cooking spray. Chop onions, set-aside. Cut steak into bite size pieces and place in a bowl. Add 1 tsp olive oil, dried onions, sage, garlic powder and sage. Combine well. Place meat on broiler pan. Place under broiler for 8 minutes, turn cook a additional 7 minutes. While steak is cooking: In a medium sauce pot, cook onions in 2 tsp olive oil on medium low heat for 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook 8 minutes longer. In a mixing bowl whisk 2 cups of cold water with gravy mix, pour into pot with mushrooms. When steak is done place in pot with the gravy. Continue cooking 15 minutes on medium low. Serve with rice. Makes 5 one-cup servings.
