Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    2 cups water
    3 cans Swanson chicken broth
    2 cans crushed tomatoes
    1 small or 1/2 med cabbage
    1 cup chopped celery
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 cup chopped carrots
    1 cup chopped turnips
    1 10z bag mixed vegetables
    1 cup chopped celery
    1 green bell pepper
    10 sprigs parsley
    2 tbsp chopped parsley
    2 tbsp basil
    1 tbsp oregano
    1 tbsp rosemary
    1/2 Lb Smoke sausage cut into pieces
    2 chicken thighs bone and skin removed.

Tips

Instead of salt and pepper, I use Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning for extra kick.


Directions

To large stock pot add all ingredients liquids first and then vegetables and seasonings. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 30-35 minutes making sure that chicken to done.
