Ingredients

    2 slices Sara Lee Whole Wheat Bread, made into crumbs
    1 Tbsp Smart Balance Heart Smart Light
    Cinnamon (to taste)
    2 Tbsp Corn Starch
    4 tsp granulated sugar (divided)
    1 can(14.5 oz) Red Tart Cherries in water (retain 1/4 cup of water)

Tips

Adding Vanilla Soy or Almond milk can add the "taste" of vanilla ice cream without the calories.


Directions

In small bowl, combine bread crumbs, 2 tsp of sugar and cinnamon.

In small saucepan combine fruit, 1/4 cup of water from the cherries, 2 tsp sugar, 2 Tbsp corn starch and cinnamon. Cook until mixture is thickened.

Place cherry mixture into oven-proof dishes with bread crumb mixture on top. Heat in 400 degree oven until bread is browned (about 15 minutes)

Serving Size: Makes 2 one-cup servings
