Number of Servings: 6


    1 tbsp olive oil
    1 tbsp light butter
    24 oz ground turkey
    2 garlic cloves
    2 celery ribs, chopped
    1 med. onion, chopped
    1 carrot, chopped
    1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped
    salt and pepper
    1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
    1 tsp ground coriander
    6 oz light beer
    1/4 cup hot sauce (Frank's red hot sauce)
    15 oz can tomato sauce


heat oil and butter
add turkey and cook for 6 minutes

add the garlic, celery, onion, carrot, and jalapeno. Season with S & P, cumin, & coriander. Cook 5 minutes. Add beer, making sure to scrape bottom of pan while stirring. Reduce mixture over med. heat 3 minutes, stir in hot sauce and the tomato sauce. Simmer 15 minutes.

Serve with Blue-cheese corn mug toppers. Recipe separate.

  • I made this chili and thought it was great. I used Pam to cook my chicken in and used water instead of beer. I omitted the jalepeno's 'cause the hot sauce was plenty of heat for me. I also used diced chicken breast instead of ground and added a can of black beans. Oh, And no butter. Very tasty - 1/27/08
