    1 Pkg. (20 oz.) of Dry Split Peas
    2 C. cooked carrots (optional-mashed)
    1 Lb Turkey Ham
    2 C. minced onion


I remove the "Ham" before dividing up the cooked soup so that I can add it equally to the containers.


I cover 1 package (20 oz.) of dry green split peas with water. (about 6 cups.) in a large pot.

I mash the cooked carrots and add to pot. I dice the onions very fine and add. Cube the Turkey Ham... approximately 1/2" cubes... and add to pot.

Simmer on low (or use crock pot) for about 3 or 4 hrs.

Divide into 8 freezer containers and freeze. YUMMY and made ahead.
