    Canned Tomatoes, 1 can
    Chicken Broth, 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    Lentils, 1 cup
    Onions, raw, 1 large
    Paprika, 2 tbsp
    Chili powder, 1.5 tbsp
    *Ground tumeric, 1 tbsp
    *Cumin seed, 1 tsp
    *Lemon Juice, 1 lemon yields
    Sour Cream, .5 cup
    Water, tap, 3 cup (8 fl oz)
    Carrots, raw, .5 cup, chopped
    Salt, 1 dash
    Pepper, black, 1 dash
    Olive Oil 1 tbsp


Boil lentils in broth

chop onions into fine slices and simmer in olive oil
when onions are golden add the tomatoes
add the spices to the onions and tomatoes
chop the carrots (and any other veggies you want to add)
put everything in the pot add a dash of salt and pepper to taste
boil for about 20 min
use a hand blender to blend the soup
serve the soup and add sour cream and lemon to taste
